Seriously guys.  Witness the awesome.

http://www.pandora.com

I remember back in the day, when Yahoo first came out with the thought of making online radio stations that were personally tailored to their listeners.  However, they got caught up in a lot of problems, namely that it takes a lot more than knowing a few bands that a person listens to in order to figure out what else they would like, and in an effort to make money, they would every once in a while play things that had absolutely no relation to your musical tastes… and when I say every once in a while, I mean every three songs. lol

Pandora has done something truly incredible.  They have broken down tiny features of each song and artist/group, finding what minute attributes make up each song.  Things like major/minor key, syncopation, vocal types, and all sorts of other things I can't possibly remember.  Overall, they have over 400 possible distinctions.  I created my own station, and so far I would say that I get 1 song that I don't like for every 15 songs that I do like.  I can listen to it for hours and still be saying, wow, this is a great song.  Best yet, it has great sound quality, and it's completely free.  Oh.  And of course, it's completely uncensored.  Hate it when they do that to songs.  It makes me sad.  In any case, you should check it out, it's AWESOME.

Your absolutely right!  This is the best internet radio has to offer. I've been listening to it since it was part of MSN Radio  then it split off on its own.

Here is one of my stations:

There’s a feat for that…

Thanks for posting this.  Perhaps I can give my iTunes a break every once in a while.

They're actually hiring people to do tech support, and since I have my background in Computer Systems Administration, I sent in my resume, which they recieved, so with any luck I can actually WORK for them, which would be awesome.
