I just finished Bottomfeeder by B. H. Fingerman. This was by far the wildest, crudest, most original vampire novel I've read ever. Highly recommended.
I am now reading Teatro Grottesco, a collection of short stories by horror writer Thomas Ligotti.

Gravel by Warren Ellis
Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman
The Invisibles by Grant Morrison
Anyone else reading anything good?

I've been slacking on my comic and book reading. I have been caught up in the onslaught of video games that have been released for the holidays.
Still reading Doom Patrol, Star Wars comics, Ultimate comics, Dark Tower and the new Stand, finishing up a Terry Brooks novel that I have slowly been reading for months.
I did start reading The Invisibles a while back. It was definitely interesting so far.

I'm reading Supreme Power by JMS (of Babylon 5 fame) and Gary Frank and loving it… I mean LOVING it. I am also in the process of reading the DC Heroes 3rd Edition rulebook, getting ready for the new campaign coming in January.

Just finished the first volume of Robert Kirkman's Astonding Wolf-Man. Very good. I am now reading the mammoth Scud the Disposable Assassin: The Whole Shebang by Sarah Silverman Program-writer Rob Schrab.

Been a bit since I updated this, but I thought I would do it in hopes that others might follow suit. Right now I am reading Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters: Brave New World.

Growing older waiting for the next book in the Saga of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. So, not reading anything else right now except rule books.

Welcome Crowdosi!
Just finished House of Mystery: Room and Boredom by Matthew Sturges and Luca Rossi and I have to say that I love the book. So much so that I may have to spring for the monthlies; I don't think I can wait on the next trade! We shall see.

Just got through with Guardians of the Galaxy: Legacy by Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning, and Paul Pelletier. A great team book with lots of over-the-top action and humor. Highly recommend it.

Guardians of the Galaxy? I had heard that some of the original Micronauts were going to be part of that team. Is that true?

The only Micronaut that has had any facetime recently has been Bug, and he was in the Starlord mini-series that led into the current Guardians run, but he is not part of the team. But the new team does have Rocket Raccoon, so we're all winners, right?

You know, I just looked this up (as I have only read the first trade; issues 1-6) and it does look as if Bug is asked to join a team of replacement Guardians by Rocket Raccoon in the later issues. So there you go.

Just finished a book called Skellig by David Almond. A must-read. Go out and by it now and have your kids read it when you're done-it's that good.
I am now reading Purity of the Blood by Arturo Pérez-Reverte.

I finished another book by David Almond called Clay and am now reading a third by him entitled Secret Heart. When I am finished with that book, I plan to take a break from Almond and read The Rite: The Making of a Modern Exorcist by Matt Baglio.

Right now, I'm not reading much of anything but gaming sourcebooks. I AM however trying to write my own novel, though progress has been extremely slow, I'm hoping that the end result will be worth it. Of course it's hard to know the actual quality of what I'm doing, as I am, as always, my own worst critic.

Yeah, I know all to well the pain of self-criticism. If you ever need a writing partner or someone to read your stuff, I am always willing. I love to both read and write.
Oh, and I am reading a whole mess of comics right now for my new blog that (will hopefully) be posted tomorrow on this very site.

I'll tell you what, if you're interested in taking a look at it, it's still rough, and there's not nearly a novels worth written yet, but I would be very apreciative of your taking a look at it. I'm always in need of outside oppinions.
