I'm curious if anyone would like to start a graphic novel discussion group. My suggestion would be one comic a month. We could meet at a resturant in town and talk about the book over dinner and drinks. I think the first month's (October) book could be Watchmen. Most of us have read it and it could spark a good conversation. What do the rest of you folks think?
Why don't we do Thursday October 23 at 7:00 PM? We could meet at any resturant in town, but perhaps we should take suggestions from those who plan to attend?
I am so sorry I let this slide this month. How about we plan to do the first one in January, to give everyone time to read a book that the group chooses? Maybe we can talk about it at the next gaming session?
I was thinking we could start with something short, different, and cheap. I know that the B & N in town has a few copies of the Prince of Persia graphic novel on their closeout table for under $4. Either that, or we can pick a book that I already own and then pass it around until everyone has read it. We could then meet and discuss it over dinner and maybe some gaming. I am posting a link to the Prince of Persia book below.
