Hi everyone,
Well I just joined the site and am looking for a gaming group. Some information about me, I am 41 years old have two children and live in the Bourbonnais area. My most recent experience has been years of online gaming, you know the common ones , Wow , everquest, dark age of camelot , etc. , etc. . Recently I have more time on my hands and I am looking to get back into table top D&D gaming, I miss rolling dice and the laughs and goodtimes of the tabletop experience.
So if you need another player just let me know. :)

Hey Webster,
Welcome to weebeegamers. I mentioned I am LF1M in my D&D campaign. We are already up to level 6 but you are welcome to jump in and join the fun. We play every other Friday, so if you are able let me know when. I can catch you up to speed on 4th edition or you can learn while you play. I would recommend picking up the Player's Handbook , which is pretty much all you need to get started.
I play WoW too as well as the Warcraft minis and TCG games.

Welcome to the site! I second the Player's Handbook idea. And for a ranger, the Martial Power book can be helpful.

Thanks for the welcome, I will try to pick up the player's handbook on Thursday. So if the 2nd edition of the player's handbook is out should I just get that one?

No, the Player's Handbook 2 features new classes, races and powers and also expounds on some of the rules from the 1st Player's Handbook. To get the full rules including combat, skills and feats you will need the 1st Player's Handbook. In other words, the Player's Handbook 2 is relatively useless without the Player's Handbook.
Does that make sense?

Crow's right. All you need is the Player's Handbook. It has all the core rules you need as a player. If you want to make a class from PHB2 you can just borrow one of our books or use the D&D Character Builder which has all the new stuff in it.
But to learn the game just grab PHB1

Ok, I have the player's handbook and some dice now. So I will look through it and have an idea of what I am doing. LOL, thanks for the comments.
