Background:

Malcolm King was born and raised in Solace City.  He comes from a good middle-class family and had everything he needed to succeed growing up.  Not only did he excel in athletics as a star football and baseball player, he also excelled in his studies as well.  Deciding that he would eventually like to join the military, he enrolled in West Point and was accepted.  During his time there, he continued to lead the pack in all areas and was considered to be one of the top students in his graduating class.  Upon completion of the academy, he was enrolled in a special program that was looking to create a super-powered top-secret police force that would be dropped into heavy combat areas to perform missions.  Seeing this as yet another opportunity, he pushed himself even harder, subjecting himself to all of the experiments and treatments that the military would allow him to undergo.  The experiments proved successful as he was given fantastic powers and abilities.  Soon after, he was given command of his own team and sent into a third world country to complete a simple extraction.  Come to find out, the team was meant to kidnap and assassinate the leader of a small group of freedom fighters.  King could not handle this, finally realizing the purpose of his group, and lashed out at his team.  Putting most of them down and letting the rest leave in fear, he released the leader of the freedom fighters and found the next flight back home.  Keeping a low profile and working for cash at a local diner, Malcolm tries hard to seek out those that need help and protect his borough as best he can.  He knows that the US military will eventually come looking for him, and when that day comes, he’s plans on being ready.
