DESCRIPTION:  Clairisa Veya was born and raised in Solace, on Lagona Isle. Her parents were humble and well respected in the community. They owned a small art studio and a cafe. Their family hid a dark secret, however.
    Clairisa’s mother, Margot, was born with a remarkable powers. She had been an aspiring hero in her youth, called Majesta. Majesta’s career was short lived. During a battle with the magical villain, Sorcerex, a vortex was opened that swallowed both heroine and villain.
    Clairisa’s father, Paul, found Margot several months later in a mental institute in London, in a state of complete catatonia. Margot was seven months pregnant, and Paul had not known that she was with child. Paul took Margot back to Solace, where she remained in her catatonic state.
    When the baby came, Margot finally snapped out of her catatonia during labor. Though Margot had regained some semblance of consciousness, her cognizance was sporadic. She came and went, in and out of trances, sometimes lasting weeks at a time. When she was coherent, she would hardly acknowledge her husband or child. She would simply paint indecipherable pictures of other worldly landscapes.
    Customers to the studio saw some of the works, and the mad art of Margot became a highly desired commodity among the Solace elite. Thus, Paul was able to raise his daughter, attempting to give her the best upbringing possible.
    Despite the relative comfort of her life, Clairisa grew up hating the world that had taken her mother from her. She had heard stories of her mother’s heroics, and the price she paid. Clairisa was horrified when she discovered, at thirteen, that she was starting to display powers of her own.
    Though she tried to control them, as she aged, the powers grew like a hurricane inside of her. When she was twenty-four, the powers inside of her finally manifested into something she could no longer contain within her. A vortex opened, and she was drawn into it.
    Clairisa was transported to a dimension of incredible beauty and splendor. At first, she was at peace, in total tranquility. Then, a shadow loomed over her, and unthinkable horrors were done to her by an unnamed terror. Her psyche was torn to pieces, put back together, and torn to pieces once more. Only through sheer force of will, was she able to sustain herself during the torment.
    She was finally released from the prison paradise, which she would later refer to as the “Forbidden”, but at a cost. She was stricken deaf and mute by the terrible force, unable to communicate with anyone the things she saw or heard in the false Eden.
    She grew to understand the mental prison that had trapped her mother. Clairisa was prone to lapse into catatonic states for hours, days, or even weeks at a time, during which she would relive the horrors of the “Forbidden.” Whenever she slept, she dreamed of the “Forbidden.” The only way to cope with the horror, to let the terror flow out of her, was to paint, as her mother had done.
    One fateful day, a pale faced customer entered her gallery. He had expressed interest in acquiring some of her art, on behalf of his ‘master.’ The commissioned art was to be something out of her most traumatic dreams. She declined the offer, until the nature of the payment was made clear.
    In exchange for the macabre art, the ‘master’ was willing to supply her with drugs that would eliminate her need for sleep. She accepted the offer, and the drugs worked as promised. She quickly became addicted to the drugs, which kept her from the nightmares that awaited her in sleep.
    The ‘master’ agreed to continue providing the drugs to Clairisa, in exchange for occasional favors. The ‘master’ would call upon her, and her extraordinary powers when needs dictated. She dared not default on the arrangement, as the drugs were the only thing keeping her from going insane, as her mother had.
    Now, Clairisa Veya dons the mantle of Paramore, and is one of the many indentured servants in the army of Ikiryo; The Living Ghost.

Brunette, with long hair normally kept in a pony tail. Petite. 5'4″ tall, and 95 pounds. Slender build with minor muscle tone.

As Paramore:  Wears a maroon hooded cloak with midnight blue trim. A midnight blue mask covers her nose and mouth, leaving only her eyes visible. Under her cloak, she wears maroon body suit accented by midnight blue on the legs and arms.
