DESCRIPTION: Tojida Tokoda was born in Japan in 57AD, to a family of low standing. Unnaturally intelligent and physically gifted, he was determined from a young age not to be relegated to a life as a rice farmer. He joined the army of a local warlord, and quickly rose through the ranks. When he ascended as far as he could, he killed the warlord and assumed his mantle. By the time he was 22, he had gained control of a third of Japan. His power and empire continued to grow, until at the age of 56, he felt the shadow of age creeping over him.

Sensing his desperation, the Demon Momonjii came to Tojida and offered him everlasting life. Tojida relished his power, and was loathe to have his accomplishments wiped out by his death. In exchange for everlasting life, Momonjii wanted something in return. Momonjii took great joy in destroying the souls of corrupt and powerful men, and wanted Tojida to betray his family by murdering them in exchange for cheating death. Tojida was more than happy to comply.

With the dark deed committed, Momonjii was able to take control of Tojida's perverted soul, leaving his body ageless from that day forward.

Tojida grew to regret the murder of his family, and his guilt became intolerable. He forsook the name Tojida and adopted the name of Ikiryo, meaning Living Ghost. He pleaded once more to Momonjii for a favor. Momonjii agreed to restore Ikiryo's soul and family to him, if he were to corrupt and destroy the souls of two thousand powerful men. There as a catch, however. Momonjii wanted to relish in their corruptions, and would only allow Ikiryo to sacrifice one family per year, on the anniversary of Ikiryo's own sacrifice.

Ikiryo has spent the past two thousand years, sacrificing one family per year, to Momonjii in payment for his soul and family. Through the ages, Ikiryo's power lust has only increased. And as the centuries passed, so did Ikiryo's skills and abilities, creating one of the most dangerous men on the planet.

Currently, Ikiryo calls the island nation of Solace home. He has chosen the prime minister of Solace as his next victim to Momonjii, and he intends to deliver, for failure means the loss of his soul and family forever.
