DESCRIPTION: Cabbot grew up in a family of anthropologists, traveling the world in search of historic treasures and the clues that lead to them. He had a natural knack for the detective work involved, and soon forged a name for himself as one of the world’s pre-eminent archeologists.
While searching for a Mayan ruin, he stumbled across a temple dedicated to a long forgotten god. He descended deep within the temple, and without warning, lost consciousness. He awoke days later in a small village in Peru, with no memory of what had happened to him within the temple. Though he searched for years following the strange event, he was never able to relocate the temple.
Over time, he discovered he could feel, or sense the emotions and intents of the people around him. He could feel the past and future of the items he touched. Over time, he also realized that his own emotional state was having a profound effect on the people around him. Of all his newfound abilities, he was never able to control the broadcasting of his feelings.
After a short, and decidedly failed attempt at the superhero life, he settled down in the city of Solace, in the neighborhood of Little Britain, where he opened his own pub. Cappie’s Bar and Grill soon became popular among “off duty” heroes as they found comfort and relaxation in the amiable barkeep’s presence. Eventually, some villains figured out that heroes frequented the place, frequently letting down their guards, and decided it would be a good place to take some revenge.
Strangely, the villains themselves found the barkeep’s presence too soothing and irritatingly pleasant to bother with fighting their sworn foes. As a result, Cappie’s Bar and Grill attained an unusual fame and notoriety as being the only place in the world where heroes and villains could be found having a beer, fish and chips together.
