DESCRIPTION:  Dr. Eric Longoria was a world renown doctor who serviced heads of state and heads of multinational corporations. His medical genius was envied and sought after the world over. He had the love of a former Brazilian model, whom he had been married to for 20 years.

His world shattered when it was discovered that his beloved wife had melanoma. He dedicated his fortune and his impressive knowledge to finding the cure. Sadly, his wife had passed before he had been able to make much progress, though he had promised her to keep searching for the cure so that others would now know the pain they had.

A few years later, a young and brilliant doctor came to him, desperate for his help. His name was Spencer Spalding. He had the same condition that Longoria’s wife had died from years before. Dr. Longoria quickly developed a strong bond with the young man, and together, they made some of the most astounding medical discoveries of the century.

Confident that he had made a breakthrough, Dr. Longoria decided to perform an experiment using some new forms of chemo-radiation. The experiment was disastrous. Longoria’s blood cells reacted in the opposite manner than expected. His cells lost their ability to clot, though they made up for the loss by reproducing themselves with incredible speed.

To his horror, Dr. Longoria discovered that the surge of reproducing blood had a drastic effect on his personality. He became violent and uncontrollable if he were wounded in any way. Fearing the transformations, he withdrew from society. Broken and lonely, he became an easy and hapless henchman in the employ of (IND. Man), working on various diabolical projects.

Then the day came that (IND. Man) discovered Longoria’s true nature. They became a tyranical duo of crime and devastation, and Bloodbond was born.
